I paired the green backed tiles with the blue play mat, add the wooden tile racks and you have a tactile and visually appealing set to play Mahjong. The first time I used it, my fellow players commented on how pleasing it was to play with and how they loved the blue mat. I recommend this set and would order it again. I absolutely love this set of tiles, racks, and carrying case. The color is a super cute minty green, and the traditional symbols are a pleasure to play with. The wooden racks work beautifully as well. Everything tucks away very nicely in the high quality carrying case. This would be easy to travel with. Love the tiles and racks! Beautifully made and great quality. But the bag and tack covers have a very strong unpleasant smell that doesn’t air out… like formaldehyde or something. Still worth it between the quality tiles and racks compared to what you could get for the tiles and racks elsewhere.
I agonized over whether to buy the acrylic set with the sparrows or the melamine set, Jade Horizon. After a lot of research i decided with Jade Horizon and absolutely love it. The tiles are so beautifully made and the top color is divine! I specifically wanted a set with traditional and classic bams, dots and cracks instead of some if the meaningless and hokey trendy sets you see. Thanks Yellow Mountain!
